Job Details:
Job Summary: The Scrum Master Intern focuses on helping team members by removing impediments, serving the Product Owner for the team with goal definition, backlog management and planning, and serving the organization as a whole through leadership, training, and enacting empirical approaches for complex work. The intern will work closely with other Scrum Masters, product owners, engineers, program managers, and various stakeholders throughout Cubic and promotes a culture of transparency, trust and high-level collaboration. This position typically works under close supervision and direction.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists with facilitating Agile ceremonies (e.g. daily scrum stand-ups, sprint reviews, product backlog refinement, preplanning, planning, etc.).
- Works with the Product Owner to review and prioritize features.
- Maintains an Agile project management tool (JIRA) and ensures the correct setup of CI/CDI tools.
- Prepares and distributes weekly and monthly reports, tracking team and project and/or product metrics.
- Collaborates with other Scrum Masters to resolve issues, assist the team in developing appropriate solution strategies, and proactively monitor potential future tensions.
- Builds a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised, with an emphasis on respectful discussion and problem-solving.
- Supports Senior Scrum Masters and Release Train Engineers/RTE.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Enrollment in a four-year college degree program in engineering, computer science or other related technical discipline and preferably in at least the second year of college.
- Knowledgeable in Agile methodologies and processes.
- Good skills and knowledge of collaborative leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continuous improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
- Good presentation and communication skills.
- Must be versatile and display a readiness to tackle new challenges.

(Colorado only*) Targeted full-time hourly range between $24.30 - $30.92 + benefits.
