Role Summary
Internal Audit is a critical function of the Capital Group (CG) which assists business areas in identifying and evaluating their key risks and controls and, where appropriate, recommending enhancements to their controls. As an Internal Audit Manager for Europe, reporting to the Head of Internal Audit for Europe and Asia, you will drive end to end audit execution to assess control design and operating effectiveness, including project plans, key milestones, review of documentation, clearing roadblocks and informing Senior Management. An internal audit manager also manages the execution of continuous improvement activities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Set goals and monitor performance for direct reports
- Plan and manage audits, including by directing others' work, coaching, and reviewing final documentation prepared by audit team (process, risk, controls, testing procedures and results)
- Responsible for identification and completion of audit control enhancements, including independent review and determination of appropriateness
- Clear roadblocks for the project team using discretion on how to best influence Senior Management
- Support the preparation and administration of the annual audit plan for CG Entities in Europe, in line with regulatory requirements
- Manages the execution of meeting materials for executive management, internal committees, and other key stakeholders
- Manages the execution of continuous improvement activities, with a focus on operating smartly and enhancing effectiveness and efficiency of audits
- Have a seat at the table, present results and provide balanced risk management perspective to executive management, internal committees, and other senior stakeholders

Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following attributes:
- Experience in managing people, including performance and compensation
- Experience in managing the execution of internal and/or external audits
- In-depth knowledge of risk management and internal controls for asset management firms; knowledge of alternative investments is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely including with larger groups and senior business leaders
- Excellent planning, organization, and project management skills and experienced in driving results for diverse teams which operate in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent conflict resolution, influencing and delegation skills
- Ability to work independently and sound judgment in resolving matters of highest complexity
- Intellectual curiosity, analytical and problem-solving skills in areas of highest complexity
- Ability to identify and interpret meaningful information by interrogating large amounts of data (i.e., data analytics experience)
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
