Internal Communications Manager
Job Description
As Optiver’s US Internal Communications Manager, you will apply your expert ability to engage a wide range of internal—and occasionally external—audiences. The role requires a strategic mindset as well as hands-on, day-to-day execution and the ability to work with limited supervision. The US Internal Communications Manager will report into the US Marketing Manager and will be guided by the Group Head of Communications in Amsterdam as the company establishes and builds out communications departments across global offices. You will serve as a vital member to driving operating model change, contributing ideas and tactics on how to work locally within a global Communications department.  This role is also a key strategic function involved in communicating and reinforcing Optiver’s unique culture, conveying Optiver’s internal brand effectively and helping to drive talent retention across US offices.

What you'll do:
•   Maintain and strengthen the Optiver brand using strategic internal & sometimes external communications
•   Establish an internal communication strategy and framework in conjunction with senior stakeholders, including key messaging, communication channels and tactics
•   Create and deliver internal communications content, including email updates, newsletters, intranet/wiki content, presentations, and internal branded deliverables
•   Ensure organizational initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders
•   Work with key organizational stakeholders to ensure all internal communication is clear, consistent and aligned with the company’s growth goals and values
•   Provide communications support to the local management team as well as to other departments within Optiver US
•   Identify opportunities and execute on ideas to promote employee engagement and help foster a positive company culture
•   Collaborate closely with HR on enhancing employee onboarding, experience, and training content
•   Craft expertly written material for town halls, marketing emails, ad campaign copy, internal campaign content, and branded touch-points
•   Plan, edit and write content for a variety of internal communications mediums
•   Coordinate with communications teams in other regions to contribute to global communications initiatives while talking full ownership of building and executing local communications
•   Utilize expert writing and editing skills to proofread external communications, thought leadership and social media content
•   As needed, work with PR agencies to disseminate external communications that promote the brand and values of the company brand
What You'll Need:
•   Bachelors/master’s degree in a relevant field of study
•   7-10 years’ experience in internal communications, corporate communications or related field
•   Excellent writing and editing skillsÂ
•   Experience in PR or liaising with PR agencies is highly beneficialÂ
•   Experience in the financial/technology a plus but not required
