Company Overview

Kairos Power is a new nuclear energy technology and engineering company whose mission is to enable the world’s transition to clean energy, with the ultimate goal to dramatically improve people’s quality of life while protecting the environment. This goal will be accomplished through the commercialization of the fluoride-salt-cooled, high-temperature reactor (FHR) that can be deployed with robust safety, affordable costs, and flexible operation to accommodate the expansion of variable renewables.

Job Summary

As an Internal Communications Specialist, you will work on the MarCom team to help tell stories that connect employees with Kairos Power’s mission and support our company culture while keeping the team informed and engaged in the company’s progress. We are looking for a creative, proactive, and enthusiastic communicator with a solution-oriented mindset and the ability to change course quickly in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

  • Create, edit and publish content across various internal channels
  • Collaborate on team presentations for management and internal meetings
  • Draft messages from company leadership to employees
  • Collaborate on culture-building efforts by documenting company events, history, celebrations, and achievements and sharing them across internal channels
  • Partner with various departments to disseminate information including policies/procedures, progress updates, and the rollout of new programs and initiatives
  • Create, edit and manage content for internal employee intranet 
  • Manage logistics and hospitality for events and VIP visits at Albuquerque, New Mexico facility in support of strategic communication objectives
  • Take photos and shoot video at Kairos Power facilities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, English, Business Administration, or related field of study
  • 3+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or marketing
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure and adapt quickly to change while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Works well with others with the ability to build trust within the team and work effectively in a highly collaborative environment
  • Skilled at planning, organizing, prioritizing, and executing simultaneous projects and activities
  • Ability to work with highly collaborative team
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently
  • Ability to proactively collect, manage and transfer knowledge
  • Ability to seek different and novel ways to create efficiencies when working on problems, challenges and issues
  • Experience with digital publishing tools including Wordpress and email marketing software (e.g. Campaign Monitor, Mailchimp, etc.) preferred
  • Experience with graphic design tools including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Canva, or Figma preferred

  • Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces
