The People Experience team at Plexus aligns employees with the company mission and vision by bringing our values to life. Under the direction of the Sr. Director of Employee Experience and Development, the Internal Events Specialist, will manage employee events and assist with the successful planning and execution of various leadership events. This individual supports internal events from creative conception to planning and execution, working with key stakeholders and external vendors.

As an essential Human Resources team member, the Internal Events Specialist is also responsible for promoting and supporting organizational culture through internal campaigns and core programs such as Agents of Culture (AOC), recognition, and strategic initiatives.

What you'll do

• You're Detail-Oriented: Plan internal events from start to finish, including but not limited to securing hotels, meeting space, overnight accommodation, A/V, catering, presentations, transportation, and ordering swag, as needed.
• You have Planning/Prioritization Skills: Effectively allocates time and executes activities and assignments based on most significant priorities. Seamlessly manages simultaneous projects while meeting deadlines and deliverables.
• You are a Creative Thinker/problem solver: Expertly addresses unforeseen challenges during event planning and execution. Proactive and accountable with a strong sense of urgency.
• You manage event budgets, including cost estimation, tracking expenses, and finding cost-effective solutions.
• You source and manage vendors. Follows procurement procedures for engaging vendors for company events. Negotiates contracts and ensures services meet company standards.
• You evaluate event success through feedback, attendance tracking, and key performance indicators. Recommends changes based on event outcomes.
• You continuously stay updated on industry trends and innovative ideas to enhance the Internal Events program.
• You have strong verbal and written communication skills. Establishes rapport with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization to align event goals and inspire trust.
• You have a strong eye for design and brand alignment. You apply a creative lens and new ideas to events for maximum engagement and effectiveness.
• You work cross-functionally across the company to support engagement goals, culture initiatives, and strategic messaging.
• You work with Executive Assistants to ensure proper coordination of Executive events.
• You have proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
