Our NASM team is growing, and we are adding an International Account Representative.

The National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and the Athletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) provide science-based certifications and continuing education options for fitness and allied health professionals. We're dedicated to helping fitness enthusiasts become fitness professionals and fitness and allied health professionals realize their dreams.

NASM and AFAA's International education partners are comprised of leading fitness educators interested in offering premium products to enhance the knowledge of their customer base. The information gained through the NASM courses will forever impact their and their client's lives. The International Account Representative is responsible for prospecting, lead generation, forecasting, acquisition, and account management of new international opportunities by effectively uncovering client needs, then determining and recommending solutions for prospective clients to drive increased engagement in their educational offerings and improve business outcomes. Expected travel could be 25-30%, mainly internationally.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Development and execution of strategic plans to target, acquire, onboard and develop new and existing accounts; utilizing industry and global reports to drive decision making.
  • Research, target, and position partnership solutions that match ideal partner profiles, thereby driving lifetime account value for the international channel. Contract negotiation and execution required.
  • Forecast sales and develop creative strategies and solutions for lead generation and pipeline development.

Education & Experience:

  • 3+ years of recent sales & account management experience in B2B sales with proactively identifying opportunities, creating and managing sales funnel, effectively prioritizing time, and executing on a consultative sales strategy to drive results and consistently achieve quarterly and annual quotas
  • College degree (bachelor's preferred) or equivalent work experience required
  • International sales experience expected but not required
  • Experience in educational sales a plus

Skills & Abilities:

  • Assertive self-starter who efficiently combines both independent and collaborative work to achieve targets
  • Strong business relationship-building skills and track record of proficient collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strategic planning and development with emphasis on growing client accounts at an accelerated and sustained rate
  • Proven track record of solid client retention
  • Portfolio revenue forecasting
  • Strong understanding of international market requirements and trends
  • Technical expertise on NASM and AFAA products
  • Proven high performer and results driver
  • Process oriented with strong attention to detail and effective record-keeping
  • Systems management experience (CRM Dynamics/ Moodle/ DocuSign, Wrike)
  • Ability to access and use Google online assets (e.g. Docs and Sheets) and Microsoft Office applications (Teams, email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Other Requirements (Travel, shifts, physical demands, etc.):

  • This position will include domestic and international travel for industry-related live events and in-person facility visits. Travel could be up to 25-30%.
