International Accounting Manager

Summary

This role manages the international financial record keeping, reporting and other accounting functions with a focus on the International Global Food Division. This position will support Asia Pacific (APAC) and Latin America (LATAM) businesses and specifically oversee international affiliate and elimination accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external use in accordance with GAAP and organizational standards. Accountable for completeness, accuracy and maintaining in-depth knowledge of the accounts and related content that make-up our Financial Statements.
• Prepares appropriate explanations relating to report items of particular interest or significance, uses some judgment in determining what would be of interest or importance.
• Assist with creating reports on financial performance for internal use.
• Overseas and evaluates the activities of the accounting staff and provides for their professional development and performance feedback.
• Assist in aligning and directing accounting policies and practices.
• Works closely with FP&A, auditors, public accountants and other financial professionals.
• Identify area of accounting risk and modify or implement controls as necessary to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Ability to interact and communicate with a variety of people on many different levels in person and remotely and manage interpersonal relationships and conflict.

Typical Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting from 4 year college or university

Relevant Experience

• 8+ years related experience and/or training
• CPA license preferred

Other Information

• Prior supervisory experience
• Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Combination of education, training and/or experience will be considered for this position
• Experience with JDE, SAP, Power BI, and Axiom preferred
