POSITION OVERVIEW

Alarm.com, a fast growing entrepreneurial technology company, is seeking ambitious and self-directed individuals with proven outside sales experience to join our team.

This is a unique opportunity to get in early drive our channel partner and commercial business forward by providing small and medium size businesses options for smarter business security that include video surveillance, intelligent intrusion detection, access control and energy management into a single-cost effective solution. This role is responsible for driving revenue through prospecting, on-boarding and developing new commercial and channel dealers into our partner program.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Business Development Manager’s territory will cover strategic prospect dealers mainly in EMEA (some involvement with APAC region is possible), and primary job responsibilities will include:

  • In cooperation with a Strategic Sales Director develop a prospecting and new commercial dealer acquisition strategy – identify and target prospect dealers across different channels with large subscriber base, big country specific and regional players interested in smart home/business interactive solutions
  • Relative experience in the following industries is preferred - Insurance, Telco/Network Service Providers, Builder/Property Development, Security and CCTV, Access Control
  • Create a pipeline of prospects using industry connections, personal professional network, creative lead-generating techniques
  • Via consultative sales, grow the number of dealers who will adopt and sell Alarm.com products and services to an end user
  • Manage and develop a set of assigned dealer accounts to increase productivity and grow sales of Alarm.com products and services
  • Assisting commercial dealers present to large end user opportunities, if necessary, perform joint sales with partners to drive account growth
  • Work with a technical account management team to initiate and execute on-site/remote dealer sales and technical trainings
  • Developing relationships with industry partners and educating on the Alarm.com offering to influence dealer sales activity.
  • Collaboration with regional sales, technical and support teams while prospecting, onboarding, and developing dealer accounts
  • Attending industry association meetings and trade shows as necessary.
  • Interfacing with various departments within the organization including Sales Operations, Technical Support, Technical Account Management, Product Management and Marketing.
  • Learn and demonstrate an excellent knowledge of Alarm.com products and services (onboarding and full training will be provided)

REQUIREMENTS

  • Located centrally in Europe, preferred Amsterdam Netherlands. Other locations could be considered for the right candidate.
  • Professional proficiency in English and at least one additional European language
  • 3-5 years of experience in outside sales (consultative and Business 2 Business sales is a plus)
  • Experience in installation and support of commercial security products (access control, automation, alarm systems, and video surveillance) is a plus
  • Drives results: proven history of increasing revenue, closing new accounts, and successfully growing accounts. Ability to sell concepts and value-added services a plus
  • Self-starter: action oriented, highly motivated, possesses strong problem-solving skills, ability, and desire to work in a fast paced and entrepreneurial environment, able to work independently
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills with the ability to present to senior executives
  • Demonstrated passion for providing the highest-quality customer service
  • Team player with an extremely positive attitude and flexibility
  • Strong technical and computer skills and aptitude
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel up to 75%
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
