The Role

As we continue to grow as QuidelOrtho, we are seeking an International Coordinator. The International Coordinator will be responsible for managing and prioritizing workflow of outbound delivery processing throughout the distribution center in order to meet business needs. The International Coordinator will execute wave planning, coordinate orders with customer service, and operations, track the progress of waves, release work to the floor, and maintain an open line of communication with the operations management team. They must also closely monitor, through the warehouse management system, wave status to prevent bottlenecks.

This position is in Memphis, TN.

The Responsibilities

  • Develop, analyze, modify and execute the Wave Plan to confirm ship schedules are met for all customers while maintaining a level workload of activity across all shifts. Completes the waves in warehouse management system to include fixing wave shortages.
  • Prioritize daily schedule and create reports as needed to monitor, track and measure performance at all levels.
  • Assist outbound associates in resolving issues with orders by answering questions, investigating problems and coordinating with other functional groups as needed.
  • Measure and monitor capacity to process outbound delivery orders and notify operations managements of any gaps.
  • Work closely with inventory teams to ensure inventory integrity when replacement product is needed to fill orders.
  • Provide basic information to CS in order to meet customer requirements, follow up order statuses and provide swift and correct feedback.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

The Individual

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience working in a distribution center environment

Preferred:

  • Previous experience as a Wave Planner
  • Basic computer skills; including the ability to accurately enter data, run reports and investigate issues
  • Basic math skills for proper inventory and record-keeping
  • Ability to independently complete routine and moderately complex assignments that require critical thinking
  • Previous experience in a cold chain environment

The Key Working Relationships

  • Internal Partners: Customer Service, Planning, Leadership and North America Supply Chain
  • External Partners: Customers, Carrier, Freight Forwarders, Suppliers

The Work Environment

The work environment characteristics are representative of an office and warehouse environment and include the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time and be able to lift 50lbs (occasionally). 60% of time in meetings, working with the team/other cross functional teams, or talking on the phone, 40% of the time at the desk on computer. The ability to work in 3 different temperatures: ambient, cooler (approximately 40 degrees), and freezer (approximately -20 degrees). Use of PPE required for the job task (vest, steel toed shoes, body harness, gloves, etc.).
