The International Payroll Specialist main responsibility is to manage and administer the payroll process for employees located in different countries in the Asia/Pacific region, primarily in Singapore and Malaysia. They will be tasked with ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the monthly and biweekly payrolls; document processes and maintain adequate controls over those processes; and ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and corporate policies. This role will work closely with internal Finance, Accounting, and Operational teams, vendors, and external stakeholders to maintain accurate payroll records and resolve any payroll-related issues.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the payroll process for employees located in different countries, including ensuring the integrity of source master data, accurate data entry, reconciling payroll reports, and processing payroll on time.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and policies, including tax laws, social security, and employment regulations.
  • Stay up to date on changes in local laws, regulations, and policies related to payroll, and implement changes to payroll processes as necessary.
  • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes related to payroll, including setting up payroll accounts, handling tax forms, and processing final paychecks.
  • Communicate with employees to resolve any payroll-related issues, such as discrepancies in pay, taxes, or benefits.
  • Analyze and report on payroll data, including preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, and making recommendations for improvements to payroll processes.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records, including tracking employee time off, benefits, and tax withholding.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders and ensure a positive employee experience

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • 3+ years of experience in international payroll administration
Compensation: $26.32 per hour
