Established in 2017, WeRide (NASDAQ: WRD) is a leading global commercial-stage company that develops autonomous driving technologies from Level 2 to Level 4. WeRide is the only tech company in the world that holds driverless permits in China, the UAE, Singapore and the US, conducting autonomous driving R&D, tests and operations in over 30 cities of 9 countries around the world. WeRide has operated a self-driving fleet for more than 1,800 days.


We are seeking an experienced and dynamic International PR and Marketing Manager to lead our global communications and marketing strategies. The successful candidate will enhance WeRide's brand visibility, foster strong media relationships, and drive effective marketing campaigns across international markets. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of global PR trends, cross-cultural communication, and digital marketing.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Public Relations:
  • Develop and execute international PR strategies to enhance brand awareness and reputation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with international media, influencers, and key stakeholders.
  • Craft compelling press releases, speeches, and other communication materials tailored for diverse audiences.
  • Manage global media outreach, press conferences, and interview opportunities.
  • Monitor and respond to global media coverage to manage brand reputation.

  • Marketing Strategy:
  • Create and implement comprehensive marketing plans to support business objectives in international markets.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to ensure consistency in messaging and alignment with brand values.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of international marketing campaigns, events, exhibitions, etc.
  • Analyze market trends and audience insights to optimize strategies.

  • Digital Marketing:
  • Manage global digital marketing initiatives, including social media, SEO, and paid media campaigns.
  • Develop and execute content strategies for international platforms, adapting for local audiences.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of digital campaigns, ensuring ROI.

  • Crisis Communication:
  • Develop and implement crisis communication strategies to mitigate risks to the brand's reputation.
  • Lead communications during critical events, ensuring clear and effective messaging.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in international PR, marketing, or communications roles, with a focus on global markets.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful global PR, marketing campaigns and digital marketing.
  • Strong network of international media contacts and knowledge of global media landscapes.
  • Native English speaker with excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in Chinese is a plus.
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a problem-solving and result-driven style.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and sometimes stressed environment.
