Position: Internship Mechanical Engineer – Automation (Summer)
Â
What You'll Do:Â
· Support design of innovative hardware. From initial CAD concept design through production, test, assembly and integration
· Support the design hardware including: robot end effectors, custom auxiliary equipment, parts tables etc
· Support ongoing test efforts for materials related to our automated assembly process
· Develop Engineering Drawings for the detail, subassembly, assembly and installation levels
· Data transfer and organization, migration from Solidworks to NX etc
· 3D modeling (NX preferred)Â
· PLM Management (Teamcenter preferred)CAE analysis
· Systems engineering knowledge (basic wiring, schematics, pneumatic design, IO integration)Â

What You'll Have:Â
• College/university juniors or seniors who are candidates for a BS in mechanical engineering degree or similarÂ
• Interest in robotics and automotive
• Competitive GPA (3.7+)
• Proven ability to introduce innovative ideas in process and product
• Ability to thrive and deliver goals and objectives in a quick moving, start up environment
• Solid interpersonal and communications skills
