What you’ll do:
We are seeking a Software Engineer Co-Op to support the design and implementation of web-based tools that are used in the development and testing of autonomous vehicles. You will be responsible for working closely with engineers to drive the technical road map of infrastructure operations that supports both internal development and remote fleet management.
- Design and implement REST APIs and web applications that support vehicle testing, reporting, and data visualization.
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify new features and capabilities for the software.
- Develop and maintain standards-compliant and extensible code.
- Respond to and troubleshoot system issues raised by users.
Candidate is expected to work 40 hours a week during the duration of their co-op.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Candidate must be a full-time student currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 0-2 years of experience
- Basic software development experience
- Web Application UI and API development
- Relational Database Management Systems (using SQL)
- Familiarity with one or more high-level languages: C/C++, Python, JavaScript
- Familiarity with Cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Basic knowledge of software development process, from requirements-gathering to design, implementation, and testing.
