Inventory Accounting Manager

Overview

We’re excited to be looking for an Inventory Accounting Manager to join our Accounting team in Brooklyn, NY. Reporting to the Controller, you’ll work closely with the Operations team on inventory planning and our Technology team to implement automated solutions for operational processes. You’ll also play a key role in our month-end close process.

You’re the perfect candidate for this role if you’re comfortable in a fast-paced environment, have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and are passionate about improving processes and systems.

This role is based in Brooklyn, NY, and we have a 2 days in/3 days remote schedule.

What you’ll do

• Manage the inventory billing function, including the prepayment module (if applicable).
• Manage and review inventory & COGS activities during the month-end close, including calculating inventory reserves and performing subledger and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure transactions and reporting are in adherence with US GAAP.
• Partner with the Operations team on technology and process improvements, as well as new control development around the inventory lifecycle.
• Continuing the implementation of Netsuite’s Landed Cost automation and leading the charge on future inventory management ERP processes.
• Assist in annual audits and other aspects of compliance.

We're looking for someone who brings

• 5+ years of inventory accounting experience; experience working in a startup environment is a plus!
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Highly organized, strong attention to detail, and excellent time management skills.
• A track record of cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience working in a startup environment is a plus!
• Familiarity with NetSuite ERP is a plus!
