  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance with for the duration of employment.
  • Position may require travel away from the duty station (TDY) up to 20% of the time.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a Three-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • Persons born after 31 December 1959 and assigned the gender of male at birth must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Position requires long recurring periods of standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying to carry out official duties

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document.

One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade or band is required. It is defined as one year of specialized experience equivalent to the DE-02 (GS-11 equivalent grade level or higher) in the Federal Service which includes: 1) Supporting logistics equipment and maintenance programs, such as the Command Maintenance Discipline Program (CMDP), the Master Driver Program, General Services Administration (GSA)-assigned and non-tactical vehicles (NTV) management, and expertise in life-cycle materiel and maintenance requirements, operations, and systems; 2) Assessing the effectiveness of logistics maintenance programs by analyzing feedback from customers and senior leaders to interpret relevant regulations, policies, and laws, and formulate recommendations to enhance overall program operations; and, 3) Delivering service and support to both internal and external customers, leadership, and partners by formulating and effectively communicating goals, tasks, policies, and procedures through both verbal and written channels.
