Inventory Planner - Site Installation

The Site Installation Planner is responsible for ensuring the availability of material to support Alphabot System installations on-time with material flow accuracy. This person will be instrumental in managing supply and demand consistent with installation schedules including creating and maintaining inventory delivery schedules based on SIOP and specific site schedules, executing inventory releases to support demand, as well as initiating coordination with the purchasing organization for site specific needs.
What you'll work on:- Manage the transfer order (work order) cycle in our ERP system, including transfer order (TO) creation/transactions, alignment with the Site Install schedule, coordinating modifications per ECOs/schedule changes/material availability status… etc.
- Monitor material availability ahead of site install needs, coordinate with the purchasing team on any shortages, work with 3PL to release pick list and ship, and ensure the material is available on site as required.Â
- Transact material movements between Inventory locations to installation locations per material planning requirements.
- Work with Document Control to ensure that site specific bills of material are correct, and all key parameters are correct as they translate into ERP.
- Act as a supply chain representative on Deployment Delivery Team (DDT) Site teams supporting specific site installations and be able to effectively communicate material status.
- Create and oversee regular Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) schedules and ensure data integrity between PLM and installation sales orders.
- Oversee disposition of Engineering Change Orders (ECO’s) as it relates to planning activities.
- Manage inventory issues, and schedule changes coordinating with key partners in Document Control, Finance, Commodity Management and Deployment.
- Develop, capture and act on material availability metrics.
- Review and develop target inventory levels for key product areas or processes.
- 5+ years experience as a Planner with extensive knowledge using ERP and PLM systems.
- Strong knowledge of bills of material, their construction and use.
- Strong experience in planning, inventory management, production control, and supporting final assembly type environments.
- Familiarity with 3PL (3rd Party Logistics) firms or warehousing.
- Strong analytical nature - able to extract data/reporting into Excel and manipulate data.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with limited direction
