Inverter Process Engineer

Your Role:
As the Inverter Process Engineer you will be working with some of the industry's brightest minds to focus on lean systems and methods for manufacturing and material delivery.Â
Responsibilities:
- Concept to completion – Ownership of projects in Inverter Line Section
- If necessary redesign and standardize layouts based on production requirements and production rates, collaborate with industrial group
- Work collaboratively with all engineering stakeholders (project engineering, industrial engineering, design, controls, materials, software – MES, etc) through the various stages of the project: Concept development, prototype testing, manufacturing engineering design, system build, integration and testing
- Drive vendor partnership working closely with supply chain and purchasing team and ensure alignment on engineering requirements, scope, schedule, and cost
- Set goals, track deliverables, identify risk and drive mitigations across all stages of the project
- Own execution and completion of multiple projects, as needed
- Continuously develop and adapt processes and methodologies to the team’s needs.
- Identify resources requirements and highlight gaps across all roles within department
- Own report outs for all phases of projects or programs, highlighting status, risks, mitigations, and opportunities across all levels of organization.
- Validating and characterizing new equipment and fixtures for production if necessary
- Train technicians and line operators on manufacturing processes
- Perform process analysis, DOE, PFMEA, line balancing and capacity modeling
- Manage roadmap of projects working within the framework of the overall programs
- Other duties as assigned
Basically, you'll ensure that the FF 91 gets to market on time, with great quality and with the most efficient process. Â
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience EV powertrain, drive unit, inverter manufacturing or a closely related field.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- New Program Development experience.
- Working experience with AutoCAD, SolidWork, or Catia
- Atlas Copco torque tools experience min 1 year, understand how to set up
- Experience with PLM software and processes.
 Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Engineering or in a related field plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or closely related occupation.
- Project Management experience
- Previous experience working in the automotive industry
Annual Salary Range:
($85K – $101K DOE), plus benefits and incentive plans
