About the role
The analyst will be an active contributor on the Manager Research team in the Investment Product Management (IPM) group and support insurance company initiatives within IPM.
We want to hear from you today if you can:
1. Investment Performance Analysis
Analyze performance relative to various indexes, competitor peer groups and market benchmarks. Perform holdings and returns based risk and style analysis. Generate value-added performance reports and portfolio updates. Support manager searches and due diligence (as needed).
2. Support Board Reporting
Support IPM on performance attribution analysis for equity, fixed income and asset allocation funds. Support in generating reports for the Board of Trustees.
3. Investment Marketing
Support the marketing group with investment and market analytics for various publications. Assist in reviewing marketing pieces and coordinating with marketing, sales, compliance and money managers.
4. Product and Fund Prospectus Review
Review prospectus for expenses and support in mapping funds and products. Reconcile fees/expenses with prospectus updates. Assist in sourcing data, monitoring and updating information on the internet and intranet related to money managers and products.
5. Due Diligence on Outside Trusts
Assist with due diligence on funds that are part of unaffiliated trusts taking into consideration quantitative and qualitative factors.
What we are looking for:
Requirements
- 2+ plus years of experience in financial services
- Advanced Excel user with experience is aggregating large amounts of data into reports, familiarity with multiple formulas (such as vlookup, if/then, if/and), conditional formatting, and filtering
- Strong analytical skills in quantitative analysis and working knowledge of investment concepts (preferred)
- Strong writing, editing and presentation skills in investment communication
- Excellent communicator and team player
- Project management skills with the ability to pay attention to details, multi-task and meet changing deadlines
- Experience in investment analytics tools such as FactSet, Wilshire Compass, Morningstar Direct and Lipper (preferred)
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) candidate (preferred)
- Undergraduate in Finance, Economics (preferred)

For positions based in California, Woodland Hills, the base salary range is $64,480.00-$80,000.00 . In addition, the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
