Investment Analyst
Job Description
Position Goals:
Analyze and research individual companies, develop and coordinate various client reports, internal research and investment communications for the investment management team. Build and execute efficient processes for the management of these responsibilities including the use of/ownership for various technology platforms and software. Support the creation and maintenance of a robust investment solutions offering for the benefit of clients and other constituents. Manage investment portfolios for select clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Analyze, research and report on individual companies through various sources including SEC filings, company information and other research sources.
2. Assist in maintaining and monitoring various investment related software including investment performance reporting, portfolio management and trading software, requiring specialized knowledge of Green Hill, Scorecard, Fi360, Investor's View, Tradeweb and others.
3. Prepare reports and communications, as necessary to support the division. Maintain various Guidance Lists as required. Prepare required reports for outside audiences including regulators, committees and clients.
4. Manage and exercise sound decision making regarding assigned clients' investment portfolios.
a. Direct purchases and sales in accordance with company policies and client directives.
b. Administer asset mix in accordance with company policies and client directives.
5. Assist in managing and executing securities trading for division including stock, bonds and mutual funds.
6. Provide research support to the investment team and attend investment committee meetings.
Position Requirements:
Education - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field.
Experience - Over one (1) year of analytical, trust, investment and/or wealth related experience.
Other - None
Preferred Requirements:
Previous banking experience.
Customer service experience.
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
Master's degree in business administration (MBA)
