Within IFC, support for the development and expansion of infrastructure solutions across a wide range of sectors is one of IFC's key strategic priorities. The Global Infrastructure Department and the Global Energy and Mining Department work closely with IFC's regional infrastructure teams (collectively referred to as INR) to finance and provide technical guidance to companies in the energy, transport, telecoms & technology, municipal & environmental infrastructure, and mining sectors from IFC's own balance sheet and through mobilization of other capital.

IFC is seeking an Investment Analyst to support investment teams to develop new business, execute transactions and actively manage portfolio projects in the Global Transport Group within INR. The Global Transport is a group of experienced professionals who help review, structure, and manage IFC's transport pipeline and portfolio in sectors such as ports, airports, roads, rail, logistics, freight, and urban transportation. The Group consists of experienced professionals from a variety of infrastructure spaces including business development, financial and technical/engineering backgrounds.

Duties and Accountabilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Create financial models; Analyze historical and projected financial statements• Conduct industry and market research and assist in IFC's business development efforts• Work closely with management on strategy for investment in the sector, drafting power point presentations and evaluating portfolio performance to improve profitability and impact for IFC in the sector• Disseminate lessons learned internally• Prepare documentation for IFC internal processes• Participate in investments negotiations• Participate in the monitoring of investments in portfolio companies• Participate in all aspects of IFC's project processing cycle from project development to disbursement.

Selection Criteria

• Bachelors in a related field and at least of 2-3 years of relevant experience. Related fields of education include business, finance, or economics or an area of expertise specific to a sector, subject matter, or industry specialty. Relevant experience could include a proven track record in private equity or debt investments or investment banking, or operational experience in the sector or technical or professional field.

• Ability to conduct market and industry research and analysis.

• Ability to analyze and synthesize debt pricing benchmarks and equity trading comparable.

• Demonstrated skill in financial statement analysis, accounting, finance, financial modeling, DCF, and comparable company analysis to support informed decision making.

• Ability to demonstrate attention to detail, thoughtful scenario analysis, and diligence in the quality of one's own work.

• Fully understands the financial aspects of investment or advisory transactions, including how to conduct market analysis and determine financial soundness of company or project opportunity.

• Ability to develop complex financial models

• Keen interest in development finance and multicultural environments

• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing

• Fluency in English required
