Investment and Alternatives Analyst

Job Description

This is a hybrid role working partially in-office and partially from home.

Perform research on a broad array of investments including public private equities and various alternative investments.

This position will provide analysis on investments in the assigned asset class(es) to ensure portfolio managers receive accurate information and strong recommendations. This role will require innate curiosity and a strong desire for constant learning. This position will work on multiple research projects at a given time and must be able to manage priorities between those various assignments. A successful person in this role will need to be prepared to give detail-oriented explanations to support their investment recommendations using thorough research and analysis.

What you do

• Provide initial screening, review, analysis, and written recommendation of new investments to portfolio manager other leadership
• Monitor analyze existing portfolios across various asset classes and investment structures
• Prepare documentation and investment "closing" materials for review and commitment to private partnerships
• Maintain database of research files and data analysis on each asset class
• Maintain effective relationships with internal and external partners
• Recommend and utilize updated technologies for application within investment processes and reporting
• Maintain and apply knowledge of applicable investment guidelines, laws, statues, and regulations
• Review, follow, and update policies and procedures
• Assist in performing special investment, reporting or other related projects as needed

What you bring

• Bachelor level degree in a relevant field of study required.
• Investment analyst experience or equivalent combination of internship and educational experiences preferred.
• Progress towards CFA Charter strongly desired.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required, working knowledge of Bloomberg Software desired.
