Investment and Product Analyst - DataTribe

We are searching for a rounded investment and product analyst with a can-do attitude who will thrive in an environment where they are presented with a wide array of experiences and responsibilities. Responsibilities

• Overall, this role is generalist role with an emphasis on analysis and research supporting venture capital investing as well as product management within portfolio companies.

• Support investment due diligence by doing competitive analysis, market research, and other due diligence tasks.

• Assisting portfolio companies in product management tasks including: product roadmap development, creation of product definition artifacts, and development of UX wireframes.

• Support the development of publications and analyses including research market statistics and trends, doing data analytics, writing, editing, and document production.

• Develop spreadsheet models such as investment models, forecast models, and budgets.

• Conducting feedback interviews with customers and prospects and synthesizing the

  feedback into conclusions regarding an investment thesis and/or into requirements for

  products.

• Creating presentations and other sales and marketing artifacts for both DataTribe as well

  as portfolio companies.

• Assist in the collection of performance metrics and KPI data.

• Assist with DataTribe marketing tasks including maintaining marketing materials, events,

  and digital marketing.

• Manage ad hoc projects for both DataTribe as well as portfolio companies.

  Required Background and Capabilities

  To be considered for this position, you must:

• Minimum of 2 years working in product management in a software product company environment.

• Minimum of 1 year working in cybersecurity whether at a cyber product company, consulting company/integrator, or within a security team.

• Be curious and have an interest in startups, technology, venture capital, and cybersecurity.

• Be diligent, pay close attention to detail, and have a natural tendency to do things well —

  whatever it is you are doing.

• Have a great work ethic, be collaborative, and have an extraordinary level of integrity, energy, and problem-solving ability.

• Be fluent in MS Excel and Google Sheets experienced in creating spreadsheet models.

• Have strong communication skills both written and verbal. We’d like to please see a writing

  sample. Please bring it with you to the interview.

• Have the ability to learn quickly and enjoy working in a fast-paced, performance-oriented

  culture.

• Be fast, efficient and organized in your work.

• Have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or business/finance.

  Though not required, favorable consideration will be given to candidates with:

• Experience working in a technology startup setting.

• Venture capital or investment firm experience.

• Management consulting experience.

• Project management experience.

• Social media and digital marketing experience.

• Web/graphic design experience.
  Location: Fulton, MD (Hybrid - Onsite 2 days per week)
