Investment Associate

The Investment Associate will provide trading, investment management, ad hoc analysis, and limited advisory services to the Wealth Management Services team. This position will work closely with the Wealth Management and Investment teams located in Louisville KY. As an Investment Associate you would provide investment advisory support to Cerity Partners advisors by:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Ensuring client portfolios are within assigned investment policy statement
• Curating and executing customized trades as directed and according to investment allocations
• Utilize existing software platform to perform ongoing analysis of household accounts as well as individual taxable, tax-deferred, and non-taxable client portfolios
• Support local partners, and advisors through detailed analysis related to clients' performance, their investment models, data visualization, and special projects
• Setup and prepare custom managed and household overview analyses for high-net-worth clientele
• Act as a back-up for other colleagues by providing research support and due diligence of managers and investment allocations
• Preparation of client and internal communications related to investment strategy and market outlook
• Collaborate with local team members to prepare topical investment presentations and content
• Gather and organize client and historical market data to provide context around investments

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree is required and preference for candidates who are driven to pursue additional certifications (CFA, CFP, CAIA, etc.)
• Willingness to obtain the series 65 designation
• 0-3 years' relevant investment experience; experience in client service role or on teams preferred
• General knowledge of investment products, asset location, portfolio construction, and investment philosophy
• Capability and interest to learn new software for trading and analysis
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office - expert Excel user preferred
• Can apply technical and analytical skills to export and organize large amounts of data
• Proven ability to communicate with colleagues and clients on occasion
• High attention to detail extending to calculations and written/oral presentations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting deadlines and priorities
• Ability to wear multiple hats, to apply skills to different areas of the business, and to adapt to changing conditions and team needs
• Organized, self-directed, and ability to multitask
• Good written and verbal communication skills
