Job Description
Job Purpose:
BTIG is seeking an Investment Banking Associate to join the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) in our New York or San Francisco offices. Our investment banking practice at BTIG encompasses a wide variety of services, including public and private offerings, convertible debt offerings and M&A advisory assignments. This position would require the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, with primary responsibilities for the day-to-day management of ongoing assignments, the development of materials for board level discussions, and new business generation.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Managing and assisting in the preparation of financial models and business valuations
- Preparation of offering memoranda, proposals and other written materials for meetings with clients
- Organizing and participating in marketing and client meetings
- Conducting industry and company-specific due diligence related to transactions
- Assisting in the development and continued cultivation of client relationships
- Identifying new business opportunities and developing tailored recommendations for clients
- Interacting with corporate clients, lenders, private equity firms, venture capital firms and senior bankers
- Develop, train, and mentor analysts
- Lead the coverage and relationship management
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Must have 3+ years of Investment Banking or Equity Research experience
- An undergraduate degree in finance or economics with a minimum GPA of 3.5
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple simultaneous project deadlines
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to work well in teams
- Excellent analytical, modeling, and interpersonal skills
- Must be based in the New York or San Francisco area
Compensation:
- BTIG offers competitive compensation and is required by law to include an estimate of the salary range for each role. Salary range is based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, years of applicable experience, skills, qualifications, licensure and certifications, and other business and organization needs.
- The current base salary range for this role is $120,000 - $220,000 per year. Please note that certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus.
