Serve as a leader within Ameritas Investment Company, LLC (AIC) and Ameritas Advisory Services, LLC (AAS) to drive process efficiency, enable communications, and improve broker dealer and registered investment advisor services.

This role will serve as a leader within AIC/AAS organization and be responsible for driving process improvement and technology enablement in all areas to drive efficiency. Handle cross-functional projects and initiatives, manage the operational rhythms and business processes for the department. Spearhead communications and provide various additional forms of support for the VP of Operations.

Success in this role will require someone who can effectively manage time, meet deadlines, multitask and work well under pressure. Maintain strong attention to detail using organizational skills. Lead processes with a responsive, positive, can-do, service mentality.

What you do

  • Coordinate communications (newsletter, email blasts, etc.) with the AIC and AAS field and AIC/AAS content on Producer Workbench, in partnership with assigned Ameritas marketing strategist. Includes leading the AIC and AAS communications Committee, working with the teams throughout AIC/AAS and Agency Advisor Distribution to plan and submit content for AIC and AAS field communications.
  • Coordinate communications to AIC and AAS clients, including annual ADV summary notice, privacy notice, verification letters, and other notices. Work with outside vendor(s) and internal departments on the timing, testing and management of post mailing reports and ensure regulatory requirements are met.
  • Lead projects/initiatives within AIC and AAS Operations to implement new processes, technologies/platforms, with the goal of streamlining, finding efficiencies and enhancing the service and experience for the AIC and AAS field.
  • Provide monthly metrics and other reports/analysis on key indicators for AIC and AAS Operations and Business Systems.
  • Assist with preparations for internal and external presentations, leadership team updates and other reporting items.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with leaders across all departments to promote effective end-to-end execution of AIC's AML program and drive consistent operational policies and standards.
  • Maintain and coordinate updates to AIC and AAS forms, in partnership with Ameritas marketing. Communication changes to forms to internal associates and the AIC/AAS field, submit requests to update forms on Producer Workbench, in Docupace, LaserApp, etc. Work with teams throughout AIC and AAS on their form needs and efforts to streamline paperwork requirements while meeting regulatory obligations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our clearing and custody partners, such as National Financial Services/Fidelity and Charles Schwab.
  • Assists with audit processes, work with relevant departments and outside auditors as necessary.

What you bring

  • FINRA Series 7 and Series 24 are both required
  • 4-7 years of relevant work experience in financial services or investment operations, including time spent managing a team required
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Strong understanding of the broker dealer and registered investment advisory marketplace.
  • Experience interacting with registered financial professionals and home office personnel.
  • Financial industry experience required. Must have solid understanding of all aspects of a brokerage offering, the competitive landscape of broker industry, and familiarity with products and services.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel) and dexterity at learning new software and applications.
