Job Description

What is the opportunity?

The Investment Policy Analyst role performs interpretation, implementation, and monitoring of client investment policies and ensures operational effectiveness.

What will you do?

• Read and interpret IPS requirements, statutes, and laws; annotate IPS statements and translate into CRD or manual testing process.
• Write tests in CRD ensuring rule construction are complete & accurate and adhere to independent quality review process.
• Monitors and researches policy alerts generated in CRD during pre-trade, post-trade, and batch compliance.
• Monitors and resolves data exceptions in CRD.
• Work with internal teams, including client service, investment team, operations, compliance and legal to ensure open questions and issues are resolved.
• Assist portfolio managers with trade issues relating to compliance issues, data exceptions, or processes.
• Participate in various trade oversight committees.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, or Business Administration with an Emphasis in Finance
• 1-3 years of experience and working knowledge of a variety of investment types including fixed income, equity, derivatives, and global fixed income.
• Excellent written and oral presentation skills; comfort interfacing and supporting traders and portfolio managers in disparate office locations.
• Must be organized, critical thinking, self-motivated and deadline oriented.
• Must be able to prioritize multiple daily, monthly, and quarterly tasks - in addition to ongoing ad hoc projects as assigned.

Preferred:

• Candidate should be familiar with post/pre-trade monitoring of investment guidelines and relevant portfolio exposures using the Charles River IMS.
• 2-3 years of experience and working knowledge of a variety of investment types including fixed income, equity, derivatives, and global fixed income.
