What You'll Do

We have an exciting opportunity to join Principal! We're looking for a Investment & Product Solutions Analyst I to join our team! You'll partner with the Sales and Service teams to package competitive fee quotes to retain retirement plan business up to $200M in assets. You'll provide analysis and details on the product & investment package to position our fee quote against competitors.

Here are few examples of the kinds of things you'll do when you join our team:

  • Prepare fee quotes, including the pillars of our Total Retirement Suite, for assigned sales and service team areas or individuals.
  • Evaluate a prospect/client's current investment lineup and offer solutions to support our asset management strategy.
  • Analyze the competitiveness of our fee quote and service package to consult with field partners and leaders.
  • Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 4+ years of financial retirement plan experience as an advisor, operations, customer care, administrative, or similar roles.
  • Knowledge of retirement plan and products, including investments, plan design, and services, laws & regulations, industry standards, and the competitive environment.
  • Provide prompt, courteous and excellent service to all customers, operate in an ethical manner.

Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Salary Range

$51000 - $98400 / year

Time Off Program

Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don't accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

Location

This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, or Charlotte, NC). You'll work with your leader to determine which option may align best based on several factors.
