Investor Relations Analyst

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small, collaborative and dynamic investor relations and marketing team. The role will involve communicating with the Firm’s institutional investor base, counterparties and internal departments to ensure current and prospective clients are fully serviced from an operational perspective. This will require developing a solid understanding of how the business operates across functions, offices and products.

We are looking for a proactive individual with a growth mindset and eagerness to learn. Effective communication skills and attention to detail are critical for this role in order to handle sensitive information, prioritize tasks, meet critical deadlines and build strong working relationships.  Candidate should expect to remain in IR role for 3-5 years while simultaneously learning about the investment strategy and developing in a marketing function.

Initial Responsibilities:

  • Assist the team by coordinating investor meetings, preparing materials and meeting notes.
  • Assist in coordinating investor trips and conferences.
  • Co-manage the due diligence process for potential and existing investors by hosting ODD meetings, completing RFPs and DDQs and responding to investor requests for information.
  • Maintain the team’s due diligence database and liaise with relevant internal functions; compliance, risk management, operations, finance etc.
  • Update the Fund’s marketing materials including presentations, performance letters, factsheets and standard DDQs.
  • Work closely with the funds’ administrator to manage client capital activity (subscriptions and redemptions) as well as distribution of notices and other significant fund documentation.
  • Assist the compliance team with ad-hoc and recurring regulatory reporting.
  • Manage the Client Relationship Management (CRM) system by updating client information, meeting notes, distribution lists, investment pipelines etc.
  • Manage the Firm’s document portal and client access.
  • Manage the Cap Intro platforms to ensure the information is accurate and updated.
  • Ad-hoc projects as needed to support investor relations and marketing team including coordinating the quarterly investor webinars and client events.

Candidate Profile:

  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude.
  • Hard working, inquisitive with meticulous attention to detail and analytical mind
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize, while ensuring a high standard of professionalism, integrity and accuracy.
  • Interest in financial markets
  • Strong academic background from a top university
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in client servicing with a top tier hedge fund
  • Strong facility with PowerPoint and Excel to produce marketing presentations, due diligence questionnaires and specific data or performance reports
  • Strong presentation skills for in-person client calls and meetings
