Job Description
Jones Street Investment Partners is looking for an Investor Relations Associate to join our fast-growing organization. We are interested in candidates who are entrepreneurial, motivated, and driven to succeed in a client service role. Primary job responsibilities include facilitating all aspects of the investor onboarding process, acting as a resource for current and prospective investors, and partnering internally across departments to drive completion of investor deliverables. The right candidate will be highly organized, a skilled communicator, knowledgeable about private real estate transactions, and a self-starter with a passion for providing excellent customer service.
The team member would be able to assist in the overall investor relations/fundraising process, including managing deliverables/investor requests, managing all investor marketing materials creation, coordinating with legal, planning investor events, supporting the fundraising team, and communicating effectively across internal Jones Street teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage the workflow of the investor onboarding process, including distributing marketing materials, gathering, and reviewing subscription documents, and maintaining electronic files within the investor CRM (Juniper Square)
- Assist with the creation and distribution of all investor reporting, such as capital call and distribution notices, financial statements, capital account statements, asset updates, and quarterly performance reports
- Performing completeness checks of all data entered by Fund Administrator into the CRM
- Responsible for developing and maintaining onboarding processes for new entities and investors (i.e., procedures and related checklists)
- Track and maintain recurring investor request schedule
- Track and maintain ad hoc investor requests
- Respond and prepare deliverables for investor inquiries and coordinate responses with accounting and reporting teams
- Act as the first point of contact in responding to incoming investor requests, and delegate internally when appropriate
- Review and format investor presentations and quarterly reporting
- Work interdepartmentally to coordinate the deal closing process and ensure that all IR-related deadlines are met
- Provide event coordination support for investor roadshows
- Support fundraising team in preparation for meetings and conferences as needed
Qualifications
- 4+ years of relevant work experience in a private real estate, private equity, or other investment management firms
- Experience operating and maintaining a CRM (Hubspot and Juniper Square experience a plus)
- Highly proficient in PowerPoint and Excel (modeling experience a plus)
- Strong operational and project management skills (ability to stay organized to move through projects independently)
- Self-motivated individual who is a team player
- Strong project management skills, including ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines
- Knowledge of investment concepts and financial terms associated with private equity and real estate
- Ability to communicate well with others and deliver a clear message
- Quickly gain knowledge of complex subject matter
- The ability to multi-task while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and a high level of organization
- Comfortable working under tight (and sometimes unexpected) deadlines
- Outstanding customer service presence with both internal and external clients
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- An eye for graphic design and experience with Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator) is a plus
