Investor Relations is responsible for developing and executing an investor communications plan that effectively provides information about Kimberly-Clark to institutional investors and securities analysts, enabling them to make an informed investment decision about the company's securities.
The M-IR works closely with the Vice President, Investor Relations (VP-IR) to deliver the function objectives. Current knowledge of financial markets, business developments and competitive activities is expected, along with an in-depth knowledge of K-C business strategies, plans, results and trends.This position requires a proven understanding of finance, accounting and financial statements; the ability to analyze and translate complex and technical information into useful summaries; ability to perform financial analyses and summarize business and competitive information; a drive to delve into and understand detailed information; exceptional communication skills (oral, written, listening); and a broad knowledge of company operations.

The individual interacts regularly with key internal customers, including the chairperson and Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Group Presidents.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree, preferably with a focus on Accounting / Finance
  • Seven or more years of experience in a senior financial analysis role
  • Highly motivated individual with a high degree of analytical and
  • communication capability
  • Ability to work proactively, respond to requests and perform effectively in
  • a busy, challenging environment
  • Must be able to exhibit independence of action, and to use judgment in
  • determining whether to proceed independently or seek guidance
  • Communicate with superiors and others who have need to know.
  • Communicate in a way that is timely, complete, concise, candid, accurate,
  • clear and responsive
  • Collaborate with and influence a variety of corporate functions and
  • business unit leaders


Principal Accountabilities:

This position has a significant role in the overall IR function responsibilities, including:

Development of focused and effective executive communication

materials, including:
  • Quarterly earnings conference call materials (e.g., news release, prepared remarks and related Q&A). The M-IR reviews and summarizes detailed consolidated financial reports (e.g., financial statements, analyses of change, controller letters, market share) and works closely with corporate reporting to identify areas that may require further understanding and/or explanation in communications materials.
  • Investor conference presentations delivered by the CEO, CFO, CGO and Group Presidents
  • Investor presentation that is updated annually on the K-C website
  • Internal senior management materials that summarize key emerging/ topical trends and competitive and financial developments


Development and execution of the investor outreach program:
  • Lead the ongoing tracking of key measures related to the department's proactive investor outreach program and key IR benchmarking data, including communication of results to senior management on a routine basis


Monitor and prepare senior management summaries for relevant external updates including:
  • Peer company performance and news releases
  • Sell-side analyst reports on K-C, peers, and the broader sector
  • Key IR benchmarking data, including valuation comparisons
  • Key emerging strategic business and financial developments, including changes in disclosure requirements, trends in investment markets and changes in the economy


Act as a company representative when interacting with external stakeholders:
  • Actively participate with the VP-IR in meetings with the investment community
  • Work with the VP-IR, Corporate Communications, Legal and Corporate Accounting staff to assure that information presented in the annual report, quarterly reports, news releases and speeches to stockholders and the investment community is consistent and presented in a manner which improves the understanding of the Corporation


Provide exceptional corporate enterprise analysis supporting IR department needs on an ongoing basis and periodic special project work as requested by senior management.
