Essentials Skills

• Build, maintain, and operate the global Schindler IoT Device Management solution, leveraging microservices architecture and Java expertise.

• Prepare, test, and enhance update and rollout procedures for new software deployments using Bash scripting in Linux environments.

• Create technical documentation and conduct training sessions to share knowledge globally, utilizing Java and Python skills.

• Plan, develop, and test automated processes to optimize system operations, focusing on microservices architecture and efficiency.

• Diagnose software, hardware, and system failures with expertise in Linux and Bash.

• Contribute to platform and product improvements through Java, Python, and microservices.

• Provide 2nd-level technical support to troubleshoot and resolve issues, applying Java, Linux, and Bash skills.

• Collect and document product feature requests, collaborating with teams to implement enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree-education in computer or engineering sciences, or equivalent qualification.

• Experience in a previous technical support/development role is a must.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a support organization or software development with technical support responsibilities.

• Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, batch scripting).

• Expertise in logging and troubleshooting complex systems with proven problem-solving abilities.

• Strong understanding of Linux operating systems.

• Experience with software development processes, tools, and deployment methods (GIT, Jenkins, BitBucket, etc.).

• Knowledge of REST APIs and experience utilizing them to automate tasks.

• Understanding of Edge Devices software architecture based on ARM/Linux and LXC Containers.

• Experience in web development (e.g., Angular JS) and object-oriented programming is a plus.

• Proficiency in Linux environments with expertise in Bash scripting for deployment, automation, and troubleshooting.

• Solid grasp of microservices architecture, critical for system design and maintenance.

• Proficient in Java with hands-on experience in building, deploying, and troubleshooting applications.

• Experience with Agile methodologies (KANBAN or SCRUM) preferred.

• Exposure to Software AG’s Cumulocity IoT platform is a plus.

• Experience with Atlassian tools (e.g., Jira) is a plus.

• Solid command of written and verbal English
