Job Description

Job Summary:

The Senior Systems Admin will join the team to configure, integrate, maintain and troubleshoot our servers, storage and backup infrastructure for the manufacturing operations at DENSO Corporation. Responsible for the day-to-day administration of the company's Windows Servers and Citrix environment. You will have strong problem-solving skills as well as a working knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration and storage systems.

In addition, a solid understanding of network principals and technologies and hands-on experience configuring, installing and troubleshooting Windows and Linux operating systems is required. The Senior Systems Engineer will also provide support with Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, OS patching, Cisco UCS, Pure Storage, HPE dHCI, HPE Nimble Storage and Commvault backup solutions.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support and maintain, internal and customer facing, UCS hardware and storage technologies in support of manufacturing production.
• Administer and support core Microsoft Server OS patching and security.
• Administer and support core RHEL Server OS patching and security.
• Manage available compute and storage resources within the infrastructure environment to support production environment.
• Proactively monitor event logs for changes or errors and take appropriate actions to resolve issues.
• Perform or monitor system backups/recovery.
• Able to provide 24x7 support for critical production systems and occasional weekend / holiday maintenance.
• Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing end-to-end problem resolution.
• Provide project management skills in support of company initiatives.
• Recommend budget items.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Associates Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 5-8 years of direct experience, or a combination of experience and education

Skills and Abilities Required:

• Maintain systems in a Windows Active Directory environment that consists of VMware vCenter, MS SQL servers and Windows 2008/2022 Virtual (and physical) servers.
• Monitors day-to-day operations and overall performance of server & storage environments.
• Windows Server Administration skills: Active Directory, server OS patching.
• Windows Server Domain Configuration & Administration.
• IIS Server Configuration & Administration.
• Working knowledge of networking - TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs.
• Working knowledge of Automation - ANSIBLE, Terraform, Bicep, Puppet.
• Working knowledge of MS PC OS configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance: OS patching, backups, adding to domain, AD groups.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

• Ability to organize and plan work independently.
• Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
• Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams.

Preferred Licenses / Skills:

• VMWare ESXi
• Kubernetes
• Azure, AWS or GCP
• Experience with enterprise level backup software
• Experience with VMWare Administration
• Strong PC troubleshooting: Network connectivity, Domain knowledge, driver issues, etc.

Annual Salary: $88,000-$110,000
