Job Description

Remote Inpatient Coder

Hours: 8-5am - preference to someone willing to work Sun-Thurs shift. Majority of hours need to be done during the workday, and if something comes up all hours and work must be in by 10pm

250-300 Surgeries/day**

Screening: test for IP Coders is two parts:
-A diagnostic test portion
-PCS Test portion

Productivity / Accuracy: 2.25 minimum and need to average 2.5/month

-CCS - Mandatory
-Software: EPIC, Optum CAC
-Prefers someone to codes Sun-Thur most ideal
-Start same time every day by 8am/9am
-Work day hours
-Majority during day
-2.5 prod average -IP

  • Experience using Epic and Optum CAC a must
  • CCS Certification
  • Coders are expected to at least code 10 charts while onboarding for IP
  • Coders are expected to code 20 charts per day once off prebill for IP
