Overview of the role:

We have an exciting new role in our IP & Litigation Team for someone who has an interest in IP and is looking for a varied role where no two days are the same. You’ll be reporting to the IP Legal Counsel in a team of 8 who work to ensure the company brands remain reputable.

This role follows a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to combine working from home with working in our modern offices. These discussions are between you and your manager to find the best pattern for you both, while recognising that quality time together is essential for keeping us mission-aligned.

Our Leeds office is at the heart of our business. The 8-storey building has an onsite staff gym and cafeteria, two heated rooftop terraces, a dedicated gaming room and a staircase amphitheatre. The space brings all our teams under one roof in the biggest private letting office in Yorkshire.

What you’ll do:

You’ll be responsible for the maintenance of our IP portfolios, comprising of nearly 3000 trade marks, including meeting renewal deadlines, responding to Office Actions and filing UK and EU trade mark applications.

In addition, you will assist with surveillance and risk assessments for the business. In addition, you will work with our worldwide network of attorneys to ensure our brands overcome any obstacles and achieve trade mark registration.

You will play a key role in ensuring that documentation, such as Powers of Attorney and Agreements are signed and completed, ensuring that the documents are submitted in good time before any deadline.

What you’ll bring:

An enthusiastic approach to assisting a team who are usually very busy! A passion for organisation and a keen eye for detail are important skills to bring to the role. An interest in sport/poker/gaming and a willingness to travel are helpful. Excellent communication across a range of channels and audiences are desired.
