The team you'll be part of

The Customer Experience organization provides a common interface to customers including account and relationship management, acting as the voice of the customer internally and creating demand across our business groups. While bringing deep understanding of local markets for our customer, the CX organization ensures strong alignment between sales and delivery teams.

We are looking for Pre-Sales Engineer for Fixed Networks and IP Products within the US Majors sales team. As an FN/IP Pre-Sales Engineer, you will provide specialized expertise to ensuring accurate and optimal solutions for our customers. The engineer works with customers and partners to understand their requirements to create the best solution. Contributes to defining the technical strategy for designated customer(s) and delivers technical presentations and demos focusing on Nokia's value proposition throughout the sales process.

What you will learn and contribute to

As part of our team, you will:
  • Evaluate and develop business opportunities in collaboration with Sales team
  • Act as a subject matter expert and engage customers, present viable technical solutions, and articulates their value to customers.
  • Support product demonstrations, lab evaluations and network trials
  • Identify customer's development requirements and communicate to internal Nokia
  • Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, and services.


Your skills and experience

You must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • At least 10 years' experience with PON and IP network planning, deploying, commissioning, managing, and troubleshooting routers and data-networking equipment, and/or sales engineering
  • Advanced knowledge of IP Networking, Routing and Switching including hands-on skills with Cisco, Juniper or Nokia Routers to include:
  • TCP/IP, IP/MPLS, RSVP-TE, LDP, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, Segment Routing, QoS, Routing Policy, MPLS Services (VPLS, VPWS, VRF, EVPN)
  • Service Provider IP network design
  • Experience initiating, developing and sustaining customer relationships.
  • Excellent written, communication and presentation skills.


It would be nice if you also had:
  • Major Vendor Routing Certification (CCIE-SP, JNCIE-SP, SRA)
  • Fiber Design and PON network architecture
  • Linux Operating System, Scripting and DevOps Development Experience
  • Experience in Sales Engineering or IP Consulting
