We are seeking a clearable Hardware Systems Engineer to join our Rapid Innovation and Solutions Engineering Group in Hardware development and Project Engineering. This role is a technical contributor to the successful completion of programs.
The qualified applicant will join a cohort of employees re-entering the workforce after a career break of at least two years. This cohort will receive special on-boarding designed to provide an effective re-entry into the workforce. iReturn provides experienced professionals with a 12-week "returnship" to prepare for a full-time career in one of several fields at Northrop Grumman through training, professional development, and networking opportunities. Qualified applicants will join a cohort of employees returning to the workforce after a 2+ career break for this "returnship" program that focuses on giving you a seamless transition back into the workforce. Upon completion of the program, candidates will be eligible for full-time roles with the company.

This position offers the option of a 9/80 work schedule. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work nine-hour days Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Salary Range: $92,200.00 - $138,400.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to basepay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO)for vacation and/orpersonal business.

iReturn: The Northrop Grumman Returnship Program
Basic Qualifications:
- A career break of at least two years
- 5 years' engineering experience with Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, Science or related discipline OR 3 years engineering experience with Masters in Electrical Engineering, Science or related discipline OR 0 years engineering experience with PhD in Electrical Engineering, Science or related discipline
- This position requires experience in two or more of the following:
- Systems Engineering and/or Architecting RF or Digital systems
- Full system to circuit card level development exposure
- Integrated circuit and electronics design of RF or Digital systems
- Development and test of embedded systems.
- US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain a Top Secret with SCI Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous Top Secret Clearance with SCI
- Technical contribution in RF hardware (receivers and transmit-ters), DSP design, RF communication, signal collection, and/or EW programs
- Experience in designing complex system architectures
- Experience with the challenges in designing hardware systems to survive in harsh environments including terrestrial, airborne, and space
- Experience in SWAP design challenges
- Requirements derivation & flow down
- Systems integration testing
- Verification and Validation
- Leading system and/or subsystem design with direct involvement
