Your role and responsibilities

AV Technology Integration: Select and incorporate audiovisual equipment (displays, audio systems, projectors, control systems, etc.) that align with project requirements. Smooth Integration: Ensure seamless connectivity between audio and video devices, configure control systems, and establish reliable network connections. Equipment Setup: Consider room acoustics, speaker placement, display positioning, and cable management for optimal performance. Stay Informed: Keep up with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in AV system design and integration. Documentation: Develop and maintain design specifications, technical drawings, and project deliverables. Troubleshooting and Quality Assurance: Support the project team during system testing and commissioning. Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, technicians, vendors, and suppliers to ensure successful AV system integration. Leadership: Provide guidance to temporary work teams and act as an escalation point for AV-related issues.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor's degree or college degree. Equivalent work experience may be considered with a minimum 3 to 5 years of experience
  • Proven experience as an AV Architect or similar role, with a strong portfolio of successful AV system designs and implementations
  • Proven experience with Teams Meeting Rooms implementations
  • In depth knowledge of audio-visual technologies, including displays, projectors, sound systems, video conferencing solutions, and control systems
  • Proficiency in AV system design software
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices, such as Infocomm, CEDIA, and AVIXA
  • Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members, and vendors
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Flexibility to travel to sites as needed (15 percent)
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
