Job Description
The Security Analyst plays a vital role in keeping TTI's sensitive information secure. The Security Analyst works cross-departmentally to identify and correct weaknesses in TTI's IT systems. The security analyst is a member of the security operations team and reports directly to the Sr. Manager of Cyber Security.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Participate in cross functional projects inside and outside of Enterprise Security to ensure that security concerns are addressed throughout the project life cycle.
- Identify Security risks, threats and vulnerabilities of networks, systems, applications, and work with team members to remediate/patch.
- Provide technical support in the development, testing, and operation of tools like a secure web/email gateway and enterprise EDR.
- Monitor security technologies daily for suspicious activities and identify potential security threats.
- Respond to activities deemed to be improper or in violation of security policies.
- Fulfill Secure Data Transfer requests to Third Parties leveraging TTI's Data Security technologies.
- Produce actionable threat analysis and remediation strategies in written and presentation form.
- Take initiative in finding solutions to difficult and/or sensitive problems.
- Ensure audit trails, system logs and other monitoring data sources are reviewed periodically and are in compliance with security policies.
- Gather and track information security metrics.
- Collaborate on approval, tracking and reporting any security exceptions as the need arises.
- Ability to work weekends and after business hours.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related degree or equivalent combination of education/experience. Three plus years of information security in IT Infrastructure/Network/Security Operations environments, support, and testing required.
SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS
- Experience in supporting/maintaining a Secure Web/Email Gateway, EDR, and Vulnerability Assessment tools.
- Identify, prioritize, remediate, and provide guidance on security vulnerabilities & threats.
- Collaborate with the appropriate response partners; assist with determining the root cause of incidents and work with stakeholders/responsible parties to remediate any identified control gaps or failures.
- Escalate issues to management in a timely manner with appropriate information regarding severity, exposure, and action items.
- A strong understanding of the business impact of security tools, technologies, and policies.
- Experience with common information security management frameworks, such as International Standards Organization (ISO) 27001, PCI-DSS, and NIST 800-171.
- Some knowledge in post exploitations, forensics tools, and modern offensive tactics.
- An understanding of operating system internals and network protocols.
- Stay up to date on trends in malware techniques and security technologies, recommend adaptations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must have the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
- Must have the ability to position self to maintain computers and various network equipment in the buildings, including under desks, in the server rooms, and anywhere cabling installation and maintenance would be required for troubleshooting and optimal organizational connectivity and usage.
- Exhibit manual dexterity to dial a telephone, to enter data into a computer terminal; to perceive and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids.
- Detect and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; converse in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $79,887 to $104,852. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational considerations. Please note, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
