IT Concepts is looking for an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO). The ISSO will support the Defense Intelligence Agencies security efforts related to risk management, governance, policy, program management, technology, architecture, incident response, contingency planning, continuous monitoring, workforce, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800-53 Revision (Rev.) 4 & 5 security controls.

The ISSO will conduct research, develop, implements, test, and review applications information security in accordance with Department of Defense National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework (RMF _ requirements in order to protect information and prevent unauthorized access. In this role, the officer will direct the contracting team regarding security measures, explain potential threats, implement security measures, and monitor applications in order to meet or exceed all DoD/NIST RMF requirements, resulting in faster and more accurate software releases.

100% onsite in Reston, VA, or D.C. Location.

  • Responsible for conducting research, developing, implementing, and reviewing application information security in accordance with DoD/National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) RMF+ requirements to protect information and prevent unauthorized access.
  • Direct the contracting team on security measures, explain potential threats, implement security measures, and monitor applications to meet or exceed all DoD/NIST RMF+ requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, with 5 years of ISSO experience
  • or 10 years relevant ISSO experience
  • Possesses DOD 8570 certification in IAT or IAM (CompTIA Security+, CISSP)
  • Experience with Xacta (system)
  • Must have subject matter expert (SME) level of familiarity with RMF+ and DevSecOps System Security Assessment and Authorization as defined by ICD 503, Intelligence Community Information Technology Systems Security Risk Management, Certification and Accreditation.
  • Candidate must be analytical and able to troubleshoot and prioritize needs, requirements and other issues.
  • Aside from technical skills, prospective candidates should have excellent communication, teamwork, leadership and conflict management skills.
  • Possesses ability to meet and operate under deadlines.
  • Must be able to work independently in one person shop, supporting OHR's Mission integration business office.
  • Active TS/SCI required and willing/able to get CI Polygraph

Preferred:

  • Cloud experience is highly preferred.
