Role Summary
Under the direction of the IT Manager, administers, supports, maintains and/or develops IT systems and hardware in the manufacturing facility including the production line, shipping/receiving, conference rooms and office areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Administers and supports manufacturing (MES), shipping and customer broadcast systems.
- Administers and supports Microsoft Windows Servers including clustering, Microsoft Windows clients, LAN, WAN, switches, and routers.
- Supports applications such as Microsoft Office, MS Outlook, SAP and others.
- Supports hardware such as servers, PCs, Laptops, printers, barcode printers, barcode scanners, touch screens, etc.
- Maintains data backup and disaster recovery plans.
- Maintains and enforces network security.
- Maintains enterprise anti-virus and web filtering software.
- Maintains operating system and software updates per company guidelines.
- Develops and maintains groupware applications (Microsoft Teams, MS Outlook).
- Administers help desk system.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Technology, Computer Science, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years of related IT work experience including a minimum of one (1) year of IT support experience in a tier-one automotive manufacturing facility.
Additional Information
- Working knowledge of computer hardware, software and network operations and capabilities.
- Specific experience with Active Directory administration; .NET, ASP, HTML, SAP, ERP, and Microsoft Windows.
- Ability to detect, analyze and resolve computer hardware, software, and network problems in a timely manner.
- SQL Server DB Knowledge & scripting would be an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to provide clear and useful instruction and training; or obtain necessary information to correct production problems from users.
