Position Summary

IT Analyst is a newly created role at Consumer Edge with a broad scope including end user support and troubleshooting, the IT aspects of employee onboarding and offboarding, systems management and provisioning, some elements of networking and security, and over time, a focus on end-user productivity and IT as a value-add. The successful candidate will be curious about the business and the IT needs of the people in it, is thoughtful and has good communication and customer service skills, has a good breadth of experience with various aspects of IT in a small, dynamic, highly tech-focused company.  It is the perfect opportunity for a quick study who wants to learn, go deep in a few areas, but have exposure to everything IT-related across the company.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide remote support, configuration and problem resolution in PC/network environments
  • Go to our NYC office as needed in a timely manner
  • Perform user IT onboarding and offboarding duties
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hardware, software and system failures using established procedures, and evolve those procedures over time as necessary
  • Act as the primary provider of technical support to end users for hardware, OS, and application issues
  • Maintain the asset inventory of all users’ equipment and application access to ensure it is up to date
  • Function as primary point of contact and communication with end users from assignment of ticket to successful resolution of issue, including scheduling work and keeping users aware of work status and solution progress
  • Work with both Windows 10/11 and Mac OS
  • Perform installations, moves, software and hardware adds and changes to end users’ IT equipment
  • Document process and procedures for self-help and for informational troubleshooting for other resolver groups
  • Assist with more advanced IT project work such as SSO implementation, new SaaS-based application rollouts, data migrations and integrations, and information security initiatives

What You’ll Have:

  • Located in the NY Metro area and able to come into the office at least 2x a week / a few times a month (as needed)
  • Solid experience with Windows 7/10/11 and Mac operating systems
  • Depth with Office 2013/2016, Office 365, Google Suite/”Workspace”
  • Good working knowledge of networking: TCP/IP, Remote Connectivity VPN, Wi-Fi configuration, basic security best practices
  • Hardware troubleshooting skills
  • Minimum Requirements:
    • 1-2 years experience providing remote support to end users in a Windows and Mac environment
    • 1-2 years experience working with Active Directory
    • 1-2 years experience working with cloud environments such as Office 365 and/or Google Suite/Workspace
    • Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve PC and Mac hardware and application issues
    • Experience providing end user support utilizing remote management tools
    • Ability to perform installation, moves, adds and changes to end-user environment
    • Ability to work independently, prioritizing daily operational objectives for support
    • Ability to go to NYC office within 2 hours during normal business hours
  • Preferred Requirements
    • Experience with Single Sign-On technology such as Okta or similar
    • Imaging end user devices using automation tools such as Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, Microsoft Intune and/or Jamf
    • Experience with SaaS applications such as Zendesk, Zoom, Jira, Slack
    • Experience with Powershell scripting
    • Associates Degree in IT or related field
