THE ROLE: IT Analyst (Data Analyst)

Job Summary:

As a IT Analyst, you willassist in managing data as part of the Data Quality team, and will be responsible for documenting, and monitoring master and reference data requirements for the different data domains (customer, inventory Items, vendors, people) with the purpose of improving data quality and consistency of data throughout the Presidio Enterprise and maintain compliance internally.

Travel Requirements:

This position does not require any travel. This is a remote role.

Job Responsibilities:The IT Analyst will be responsible for monitoring data content, context, and associated business rules, as well as, working closely with more senior Data Quality team resources. This role will be responsible for:

• Contributing towards Data SOPs to improve current stewardship processes supporting Master data, Reference data, and transactional data.
• Helps identify shared data, and the impact of shared data on the performance of the business.
• Following data governance policies and procedures
• Assist in the definition of business processes that ensure the consistency, uniformity, and accuracy of data
• Participating in the community of Data Analysts to promote best practices across data domains.
• Understand the benefits of Data Quality for the enterprise
• Support governed data domains across the Presidio enterprise, while ensuring the highest level of data quality, integrity, privacy, availability, security and usability
• Contribute in continuous improvement efforts to streamline master data processes and procedures.

Required Skills:

• Assist with troubleshooting data issues, providing input into timely and efficient solutions and responding to data-related queries in an expert, timely, and efficient manner.
• Provide input for tracking, and monitoring metrics on Core Data Quality
• Understands the business value of data and the importance of information to the organization.
• Collaborates with users and more senior Data Quality team resources to assist in identifying business needs, data usage requirements, and validation metrics.
• Contributes to the development of tools and processes to maintain common data standards.
• Partners with more senior Data Quality team resources to assist in the implementation of new processes and procedures for more efficient ways to maintain the overall data in systems.
• Applies sound judgment and decision making when monitoring workflow processes and handling new data requests, changes, and deletions.
• Assists with the generation of data reporting such as Data Quality key metrics, compliance to standards, and metrics for workflow steps.
• Assists with assessments and validation of data maintained in various applications (eg. MDM, Data Quality, ERP).
• Assists in updating production and supporting system data to maintain data integrity of Master data, Reference data, and transactional data.
• Assist in establishing efficient validation processes that can be carried out consistently and via automated processes, to ensure data accuracy.
• Understands data sensitivity and data security concepts

• Knowledge of database management systems and data warehouse concepts.
• Ability to assist more senior Data Quality team resources in data manipulation, data cleansing, data analysis, and data anomalies detection. Proficient with SQL and Excel
• Familiar with Software Development Lifecycle concepts
• Familiar with Change Management Processes
• Knowledge of, or experience with at least one ERP system (Great Plains, Oracle, SAP).

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent work experience and/or military experience
• 2-3 years of experience working with data
