IT Application Engineer

In 2023, BillionToOne launched two liquid biopsy products that will markedly improve oncology treatment and care. With Northstar Select™, clinicians will be able to select cancer therapies that will be most effective to each patient based on their individual genetic makeup. Northstar Response™ will enable clinicians to monitor a patient’s early response to these cancer therapies, by measuring minute changes in their ctDNA, which can reduce ineffective treatments and unwanted toxicity, lower costs, and substantially improve clinical outcomes.

We are seeking an IT Application Engineer to help manage our best-in-class billing integrations platform on iPaaS platform. Information Technology at BTO helps Scale & Support powerful, ergonomic, and excellent operations by providing each business team with efficient and consistent user experience, Simplified process, and timely system support and compliance. As an Application Engineer, you will play an important role in establishing and managing our Billing systems ecosystem within the BTO Business Applications Team. You’ll develop integration solutions to support the cross-functional needs for integrating Salesforce, NetSuite, AWS, Tableau, Xifin, etc. with other 3rd party SaaS applications and key internal systems. Build integration strategy based on principles of reusability, security, scalability and quality leveraging Mulesoft iPaaS Platform. 

A typical work week might consist of helping architect and build new integrations between our Patient facing website and Salesforce, spiking ideas towards a proof-of-concept as part of Agile project work, collaborating with Salesforce developers, Software Engineers, Product Managers, and Technical PMs on effectively applying iPaaS capabilities at BTO. The ideal candidate is a committed team player with a solid work ethic, willing and able to roll up their sleeves and get the job done. This role will report to the Head of Information Technology and will be located in our corporate office in Menlo Park, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Establish our Mulesoft Platform within the Business Applications Team
• Develop integration solutions to support the cross-functional needs for integrating key SaaS systems not limited to such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Xifin, AWS, Tableau, Postgres DW with other SaaS applications and key internal platforms
• Build valuable artifacts like architecture and design documentation for “Day 2” support and team-level presentations to demonstrate your work
• Establish best design and implementation practices to deliver scalable integration solutions handling large volumes of data leveraging Mule 4+ technology
• Build integration strategy based on principles of reusability, security, scalability and quality leveraging Mulesoft Platform
• Building rapidly growing systems that balance time to market, usability, reliability, and technical debt
• Work with cross-functional teams and document detailed MuleSoft Process flows
• Establish best in class MuleSoft Application Packaging and Deployment Strategies
• Be the open and helpful engineer that you would like to see in others

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree.
• 5+ years of Mulesoft iPaaS experience.
• 5+ years of API Development experience in SFDC/Java/NetSuite
• 5+ years of SDLC and relevant coding experience, including leading setting up processes and scaling the operations for high-growth companies.
• Use MuleSoft's Anypoint Studio and Anypoint Platform which includes Design Center, Runtime Manager, API Manager.
• Demonstrated ability to build new capabilities, with a process-oriented mindset.
• You are expected to be detail  oriented and look for continuous improvements with the ability to analyze data from various systems and departments in a high growth environment.
• Experience working with Salesforce, NetSuite, AWS, Postgres DW 
• Experience with the diagnostics industry is highly preferred.
• Results driven with a high sense of urgency, taking ownership and ability to work in a fast paced environment with competing priorities

At BillionToOne, we are proud to offer a combination of a (1) base pay range (actual amount offered is based on experience and salary/equity options split that the candidate chooses) (2) generous equity options offering, on top of (3) industry leading company benefits (free healthcare options, 401k match, very generous fully paid paternal leave etc.).

For this position, the base pay range is: $130,000-$170,000 per year.
