JOB DESCRIPTION

The IT Application Engineer will participate as team member for the development, implementation, training and ongoing enhancement and support of a global consolidation and financial reporting system. The objective of this position is to provide a single, reliable system to meet the consolidation and financial reporting needs of our operating business units and corporate departments around the world.

This person will be mainly responsible for the administration of Financial Applications, particularly the Technical Infrastructure of the Oracle EPM Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Establish Financial Application Suite that meets service and quality standards
  • Make improvement recommendations to keep pace with technological advancements and market conditions to ensure company maintains its competitive edge.
  • Act as liaison between extended Finance community and IT organizations.
  • Provides financial systems application and technical support primarily for European region, as well as coverage for American and Asian regions
  • Define roadmap and architecture for financial applications
  • Execute projects including upgrades, server migrations, disaster recovery.
  • Maintain, support, and manage all assigned applications. This includes administration, tuning, production fixes, upgrades, patching.
  • Ensure all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision are followed.
  • Perform regular IT audit to discover areas of weaknesses and fortify them.
  • Manage relationship with external vendors / consulting partners as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years overall IT experience with a professional experience in Financial Systems and/or Architecture, developing, proactively monitoring and managing integrated business applications
  • Scripting experience (Batch, VB, PowerShell, Shell)
  • Experience working with Windows Servers (2012, 2016 and 2019)
  • Experience with Oracle Databases including SQL toolset use
  • Experience with Installation/Upgrade/Patching enterprise software
  • Must have fluency in English Language, written and spoken.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and troubleshooting skills, ability to communicate complex scenarios with both technical and nontechnical audiences
  • Optional: Experience with Oracle EPM, mainly HFM, FDMEE, Smart View and DRM or with other financial applications a plus
  • Optional: Familiarity with UNIX, Linux Operating Systems
