IT Architect- Build Solutions.

PURPOSE: 

Oversees the software development cycle, gathering requirements and directing the activities of the design team. Resolves issues that arise during the development cycle. Examines functional specifications and translates them into system guidelines that shape project development. Aligns projects with enterprise-level systems. Conducts research on existing systems and devises solutions that work within those systems. Answers questions regarding software capabilities and requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensures the sustainability of IT in domestic and international locations.
• Designs architecture for Microsoft based technology stacks, concentrating on the configurations of the IIS service within the different usage scenarios.
• Manages product and maintenance for Microsoft IIS Service and other Microsoft middleware components (e.g. BizTalk) worldwide.
• Develops the OEM Microsoft technology stack landscape and 3rd level support for IIS services worldwide.
• Steers the vendors and providers as needed.
• Conducts ramp-up, hand over fixes and new solutions to operations team with all relevant documentation.
• Conducts strategic positioning and license planning.
• Serves as a consultant on projects relating to requirements management, evaluation, and prioritization of maintenance activities (cost/benefit), technical release management (in negotiation and collaboration with the responsible OEM functions and departments).
• Designs large scale distributed web applications/systems.
• Drives enterprise level architecture and N-tier web applications for high availability. Ensures products are robust, scalable, and extensible.
• Architects serverless web applications for OEM Cloud, Kubernetes, Micro Services and Containerization.
• Designs framework for globally used PKI security solutions.
• Designs and architects web security solutions, security ciphers standardization and certificate lifecycle management.
• Performs other duties as assigned by OEM Group operations supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

BS Degree in Computer Science or the equivalent of 4 years professional. related IT experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• 7+ years of application and solutions development experience with Microsoft .net and asp
• 7+ years enterprise architecture and operations experience
• 5+ years of experience using Microsoft IIS and other Microsoft Middleware (e.g. MS SQL, Windows Server, Biztalk, etc.) to design IT architectures and system integration with other products within a complex systems and solution building landscape.
• 5+ years of experience designing and architecting different Microsoft based technology stacks with a concentration on the configurations of the IIS service within different usage scenarios.
• 5+ years of experience with business-critical IT systems, global IT architectures, projects and services.
• 3+ years of knowledge of non-functional requirements.
• 3+ years of knowledge of Client/Server Architecture.
• 3+ years of knowledge of IT license management.
• 3+ years of knowledge of back-end infrastructure and software.
• 3+ years of knowledge of diagnostic tools.
• 3+ years of knowledge of software deployment methodologies.
• 3+ years of knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment.
• 3+ years of knowledge of IT Security and risk assessment.
• 3+ years of knowledge of relational database analysis, design, and performance tuning ability.
• 3+ years of Object-Oriented architecture and design skills.
• 3+ years of knowledge of modern operating systems.
• 3+ years of experience designing networked system infrastructure, reducing latency, maximizing throughput, and ensuring high availability.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting to 25 lbs.
• Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.

FLSA STATUS/WORKING SCHEDULE:

• • Location: Greenville, SC, 35% operational, 65% development
  • Schedule: 8:00 – 5:00pm.
  • Assignment Start: ASAP
