IT Architect (Cloud Engineering)

Primary Objective of Position:Responsible to develop, implement, optimize, and maintain both an on-premise and cloud-based solution of the technical domain. This position will be responsible to design and maintain both systems to meet end user requirements, while also providing a secure environment accessible to authorized users.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Collaborating with engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud or on-premise solutions.
• Modifying and improving existing systems to fit the needs of end users.
• Designing, developing, and deploying modular cloud-based systems to meet business requirements.
• Educating teams on the implementation of new technologies and initiatives.
• Regularly reviewing existing systems and making recommendations for improvements.
• Ensuring efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security.
• Identifying, analyzing, and resolving infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
• Assist the Infrastructure team with issues within the datacenter.
• Solve issues with performance or accessibility in a timely manner.
• Diagnose and resolve unique, nonrecurring problems associated with application software and operating systems; determine the source of problems and classify their level, priority, and nature.
• Other duties as assigned based on business need

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar field, and at least 3 years of equivalent experience, with a focus on cloud engineering.
• Excellent communication skills, effective with varying organizational levels and skill sets.
• Excellent relationship management and collaboration skills, with a track record of working as one team cross-organizationally to drive innovation and business results.
