IT Architect - Remote
Job Description
Mayo Clinic is looking for an IT Architect to join the Office of the Chief Technology Officer team. This individual will provide leadership in the technical design, selection, and application of information systems in alignment with institutional requirements. They will facilitate technology assurance reviews to ensure appropriate technical architecture and design practices are in place by applying concepts of enterprise architecture to confirm systems alignment, adherence and integration to Mayo Clinic's Information Technology policies/standards. They will partners with other IT Divisions, Supply Chain Management, Contract Management, Privacy and Legal in negotiations to achieve needed business, technical and process considerations, and safeguards. This role will help set standards, help manage and continuously improve the program, provide education, and stay knowledgeable in various areas of governance.
This IT Architect will provides technical leadership in system architecture, design principles, software development methodologies, and selection of information systems. They must understand and apply concepts of enterprise architecture to drive quality, consistency and sustainability across Mayo Clinic. They will be required to develop technical proposals that consider alternatives and business cases, gain needed institutional approvals, and work effectively across departmental organizations to gain consensus of stakeholders. They must be recognized as a technical expert and is sought out for their in-depth knowledge of a broad range of current technologies and how these technologies apply to the Mayo environment.
The IT Architect will participate on committees to establish and implement technical standards and governance, promote integration of data, and/or coordination of projects across work units. They must serve as an active member of technical workgroups, be successful in their interactions with all levels of the organization and must have strong communication, facilitation and negotiation skills.

This is a full time remote position within the United States.
Schedule Details
Monday - Friday 8am-5pm
This position is 100% remote within the United States. Mayo Clinic will not sponsor or transfer VISA's for this position.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 5 years' experience including 3 years' of demonstrated technical experience and 1 year of demonstrated leadership experience; Or, Associate's degree and 9 years' experience including 3 years' of demonstrated technical experience and 1 year of demonstrated leadership experience.
Additional Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following: business modeling, data design, information systems design, systems integration, and service design. Demonstrated oral and written communication, organization, problem solving, facilitation, and meeting management skills. Demonstrated expertise in one or more computing technologies. Demonstrated project and deliverable consistency through repeatable and reliable performance. Demonstrates initiative and self-motivation to complete tasks and assignments on time. Experience working in healthcare technology. Must be able to work independently and able to lead and mentor in a team environment. Masters degree in applicable field preferred.
