ABOUT THIS ROLE
Apex Fintech Solutions is seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Asset Manager to oversee the comprehensive management of our organization's IT assets. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end asset management process, including procurement, inventory management, vendor liaison, and license management. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
Duties/Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Asset Management: Manage the entire asset management process, from procurement to disposal, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry regulations.
  • Order Management: Coordinate the procurement of IT hardware and software, including placing orders with vendors, tracking deliveries, and verifying receipt of goods.
  • Vendor Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for third-party vendors, including negotiating contracts, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with service level agreements.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and subscriptions, and generate regular reports for stakeholders.
  • New Hire Onboarding: Schedule and coordinate IT asset provisioning for new hires, ensuring timely delivery of equipment and software licenses.
  • Best Practices Implementation: Implement, document, and drive best practices for IT asset management, including standardizing processes and procedures.
  • Contract and Purchase Order Review: Review contracts, purchase orders, and other relevant data to effectively manage hardware assets and ensure compliance with budgetary constraints.
  • Budget Analytics and Planning: Assist in budget planning by providing analytics and insights into IT asset expenditures, trends, and forecasting future requirements.
  • License Management: Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements, monitor license usage, and coordinate software audits as necessary.


Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field or equivalent work experience required.
  • 5+ years of prior experience in IT asset management or related roles, with expertise in hardware lifecycle management.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, Certified IT Asset Manager) are a plus.


Required Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to adapt to changing technology and business requirements.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in budget analytics and planning.
  • Knowledge of software license management best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in inventory management tools and software.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
