Position Overview:

REFORM seeks an experienced and mission-driven individual to serve as our IT Support Associate & Systems Administrator as a member of the organization’s IT Team. This is a full-time position focused on assisting with configuring and managing IT systems and providing support for our New York & Washington DC offices and remote employees. This role will work closely and collaboratively with all of the staff at REFORM and report to the Information Technology Director. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

Systems Administration (50%):

  • Set up and configure MACs and PCs with required applications, ensuring operational standards, hardware, and OS upgrades and maintenance.
  • Network monitoring, configuration, and maintenance of Cisco Meraki software solutions, routers, switches, and access points. Knowledge of TCP IPv4 & IPv6 protocols, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, VLAN, and VPN.
  • Conduct firewall management, including Cisco's secure internet gateway and secure access service edge.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 and cloud technologies such as Azure AD and Intune.
  • Administration of Jamf MDM and use of Apple business manager to perform application packaging, software deployments, and configuration.
  • Okta administration and configuration IAM, MFA, SSO support, and integrations. Knowledge of SAML, OAUTH2. 
  • Monitor and respond to alerts on EDR solution SentinelOne
  • Proofpoint email security monitoring, including SPF, DKIM, and DMARC knowledge. 
  • AWS administration including EKS Cluster, K8, Pods, S3, IAM, admin and user roles
  • Review diagnostics, assess system functionality and efficiency, conducting continuous improvement and analysis of current systems and software.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain corporate printers, scanners, and IP phones.
  • Administer productivity applications such as Zoom, Slack, Asana, Adobe, Dropbox, and Assuresign.
  • Manage system backups and disaster recovery.
  • Cybersecurity best practices of systems and technology, following security policy and procedures, implementing NIST 800-53, ISO 27001 controls, and maintaining CJIS compliance at the organization. 
  • In-depth technical documentation of all configurations, incidents, and solutions. Ensuring proper change management and reporting. 


 

IT Support (50%):

 

  • Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the IT department.
  •  Provide technical support for the organization; diagnose technical problems, research, identify, and document appropriate solutions.
  • Organize and prioritize technical support cases, ensuring follow-up until resolution.
  • Assist with remote monitoring and management system alerts and notifications, responding through service tickets.
  •  On-site and remote user support, including travel to our Washington, DC office.
  • Work with IT leadership to plan future road maps, project plans, budgets, and initiatives.
  • Assist in the onboarding and off boarding of employees
  • Conduct problem-determination efforts requiring assistance from cross-functional teams
  • Communicate with staff, informing them of incident progress and notifying them of changes or outages.
  • Manage IT inventory levels and oversee equipment procurement to meet operational needs.
  • Demonstration of excellent customer service.
  • Prompt answering of emails, phone calls, and other communications.
  • Assessment and prioritization of work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Functioning at a high level under time constraints and pressure.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized.
  • Effective oral and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.

Experience & Qualification Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below represent knowledge, skill, and/or ability. 

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Three or more years of full-time experience in system administration or a relevant position conducting the deployment and administration of advanced systems
  • Good practical experience in IT systems, applications, troubleshooting, and repairing issues. 
  • Experience supporting remote users.

 

Salary Range:

$80,000-$90,000
