Position Brand Description:

The Analyst-IDS Data Business Integrator exists to help enable business effectiveness by identifying opportunities in or across business areas for leveraging technology, process, or information. The Analyst-IDS Data Business Integrator manages the application of IDS principles, architecture, and technology in a strategic way that is business value driven. The role focuses on identifying processes where critical data may be leveraged to gain insights for business users and impacts both mid-term and long-term business direction. The Analyst-IDS Data Business Integrator role is expected to interface between IDS and business partners to develop an IDAP digital transformation and data strategy and deliver projects or programs based on created roadmap. This role partners with the site IDS leader to influence the data portfolio of IDS projects and serves as liaison between the business and various IDS teams and work areas. Lastly, the Analyst-IDS Data Business Integrator will partner with various functions on projects to implement new technology implementations.

Key Objectives/Deliverables:

The Analyst-IDS Data Business Integrator role will have two primary responsibilities:

To partner with the IDAP Site IDS leader and other IDAP functions to generate a digital transformation and data strategy with a portfolio of IDAP data projects. Once completed, deliver upon the agreed strategy and portfolio to impact business results over the long-term.

Leading small to medium sized projects for new technology implementation at IDAP.

In this capacity, the Analyst-IDS Data Business Integrator will:

  • Partner with business areas to ensure understanding of current business processes and influence strategic direction as it relates to data collection and analysis.
  • Leverage knowledge of local business process needs and strategic direction to influence global data solutions.
  • Facilitate collaboration between local business, IDS and global programs to ensure common understanding of business processes and system capabilities, and to identify opportunities.
  • Builds relationships with business areas by using strategic account management skills: research, listening, effective communication, and presentation
  • Influences business areas' understanding of their own business processes, identifies new opportunities, challenges the status quo, and helps develop recommendations for using IDS to improve business process productivity.
  • Accurately translates business processes, which may span business areas/value cycles, into technical terms, and vice versa.
  • Provides subject-matter expertise for business processes, which span business areas/value cycles, to technical resources.
  • Focuses on macro-level process improvements/reengineering efforts.
  • Leverages and integrates external best practices and approaches in recommendations and solutions, as appropriate.
  • Assesses customers' readiness for organizational change.
  • Ensures appropriate business roles and sponsorship from multiple organizations are engaged.
  • Leverages knowledge of the business, IDS portfolio, and architectural standards to provide input to the business area's IDS strategy and plan.
  • Influences changes to IDS standards to meet evolving business or industry directions.
  • Translates business strategy and plans into future service delivery needs in the areas of service levels, capacity, continuity and availability.
  • Negotiates clear service levels for IDS services based on business requirements.
  • Identifies how IDS service delivery adds value to customer business (TCO- Total Cost of Ownership, metrics, etc.).


Basic Requirements:
  • BS in Information Technology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position

  • Strong manufacturing site experience, preferably in Indianapolis
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, & process improvement skills

  • Knowledgeable of Parenteral Products manufacturing
  • Working knowledge of Life Cycle management, Business Process Model, S95 model, LSEF, and other IDS processes
